Ah... Must Post!

For fear of becoming like Eric, I decided I should post - exactly 2 weeks after my last post.

I fear that life has not gotten any less interesting or busy. Crazy? Whirlwind? Chaotic? Overfull? Any or all of these words could be used to describe how life is down here in Florida. Add "hot" and "wet" as well.

More than a few notes:

1) I moved into my new place. They are still delivering things to the townhouse - furniture, appliances, etc. They have replaced the countertops in my place 4 times now, and they're STILL not right - I missed part of work AGAIN today because those bastards fucked them up. Not happy. At all.

And, sorry, no pictures yet. My parents forgot to bring it down with them sadly. I'll see if I can get some OK shots with my PDA. The furniture is quite nice - as expected, I went with a quasi-Asian feel: Clean lines, minimal ornamentation, fine woodwork.

Cooked dinner for the first time in the new kitchen last night and I love it. It rocks, plain and simple. I'm SO happy to get out of that little galley kitchen. The breads and cakes will flow forth from my oven like an army of sweet treats to devour the world.

*sigh*

2) Work. Is. Crazy. Things were boiling for Katrina and are finally calming down. My major professor can't pay all of my appointment this semester so she is pimping me out to another professor in St. Petersburg. Now, for those of you who don't know Florida geography, St. Pete is about 40 minutes away from Tampa - sister cities, but still a drive across the bay highway bridge (which lies about 5 feet above the water - always under during hurricanes). So, twice a week, I go teach a lab in St. Petersburg for a total of 5 hours. My pay? $10 an hour, with no travel allowance. That $50 a week is going right into gas and maintenance. *sigh* So there's that. And I'm a research assistant, so I'm writing code/doing research on various robot stuff. Add to that 3 classes, two with labs, and having to "assist" with my major professor's class' lab each week... Gah. I can't keep up.

3) Everything else! So, I want to be a part of the SCA - a solid collection of odd folk, nerds, and everybody else. That being said, I have NO time to devote to much of anything. Not enough time to make armor, build weapons, or even fight. I went to my first event recently and had a fucking blast, so I don't want to give it up. We'll see.
I've lost weight, and with it, both muscle and fat. I'm pretty thin now, but I need to start lifting/bulking more. It's concerning - I haven't been this light since sophmore year of high school. I do look cut though, and I have a mild case of a six pack. *shrug*
Then there's this girl... and she's great. =D

Annyways, that's me, for now. I'll weigh in on Katrina, etc soon.

I feel: 0_0 Tweakin'
